About CruiseDock
CruiseDock has been the berth reservation and planning system for cruise and passenger ships in Amsterdam and Zaanstad since 2018. More than 2,000 reservations are planned and invoiced annually, with minimal manual effort.
The system was built in consultation with the industry and is therefore fully in line with the business processes of bookers, shipping companies, operators and berth managers. In 2022, the system will also be taken into use by Haarlem and Lelystad and from August 1, 2023, CruiseDock will also be available to other berth operators.
CruiseDock is a joint venture between Cruise Port Amsterdam and the Royal KVSA. With over 145 years of experience, the Royal KVSA has all the knowledge for efficient shipping.
We have been facilitating the further optimization of communication and information provision for the port community for many years. Cruise Port Amsterdam, as the largest river cruise destination in Western Europe, has years of experience with the business processes surrounding the reservation, planning and operation of cruise ships.
Within the CruiseDock team we have developers on board who are familiar with everything that happens in a port. On the other hand, we have experienced consultants and employees who understand the (river) cruise process from reservation to invoice.
Together we are able to convert maritime data, ideas and needs into user-friendly platforms and systems and relieve berth operators of the hassle of optimizing their processes.

The principles of CruiseDock: Simple and clear
All users are responsible for completing and ensuring the accuracy of their own data (fleet, reservations, users, passengers, etc.)
CruiseDock is the one-stop shop to make, change and monitor reservations.
Bookers enter their own reservations. Communication about reservations is done centrally via the CruiseDock message box.
Moorings, rates and conditions are adjustable for each mooring owner. Shipping companies, tour operators and ship owners create an account in CruiseDock and can also give their colleagues, captains and hotel managers access to their own data.
Ports can use the various reports in CruiseDock for management purposes and overview in the port
Planning
Reservations are immediately automatically scheduled by CruiseDock at the requested berths. If this is not available, CruiseDock will choose a berth that is available or return with the message that the berth is not available.
You can also choose to have reservations assigned manually.
This is also a simple operation and gives you the option to assign a different location yourself.
Allocation of the berth is automatically reported back to the applicant.
Communicating
CruiseDock has a Chat function, which allows communication about changes and requests at reservation level.
This means that all communication regarding the reservation is available in one place and every employee can see what has been agreed or changed.
Invoicing
See all costs, revenues and invoice statuses at a glance. In CruiseDock’s digital environment you have a complete overview of all your finances. You can automate invoicing, including drawing up invoices. All you have to do is the final check.
